Family Estate

Surrounded by a thick forest, this home sits idle as a renovation has stalled and left the property abandoned. There is very little history surrounding its original owners. Dating back to the 1800s, the old plantation home remains filled with personal belongings and antiques.

    1. I am afraid that when you post a beautiful abandoned old home and say that it still has a bunch of antiques and furniture left in it that ,that gets the attention of thieves cuz I noticed that a few people didn’t comment but just wanted to know where it is so plz do not tell anybody where these old abandoned houses are . Some might say I’m paranoid I am just cautious and I trust no one 👍

    1. I had a bed very similar to this one as well as the equally tall matching dressed and loved them. However when I moved, they were too tall for the room. I was very sad to see them go.

  2. As a child, I stayed with my grandmother a lot. Didn’t have playmates in the country. There was a plantation house across from her that I would sneak over and pretend it was were I lived. I played in that house many summers. As far as I know it’s still standing! Unfortunately the people keep hay in it. That was so disappointing to find out.

  3. Why would they leave all their beautiful furniture , pictures, and dishes behind? I don’t understand that.
This place is beautiful, and could be ever more so.

  4. It’s quite beautiful, though I wouldn’t say totally abandoned, since there is a care taker. It’s well kept inside. I’m amazed it’s not lived in now.
