While riding along the backroads of Georgia, I came across this old, abandoned hunting lodge. Some research suggests this house was originally a Southern plantation that was later used as a hunting lodge until its final days. After all, it would make sense since the home is surrounded by acres of wooded land that would most certainly be prime for hunting. There is no running water or electricity, and calendars indicate the last occupancy was in 2019. The house may be no longer in use due to a leaky roof and the presence of black mold in several rooms.

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate the support. Please share the blog with your friends.

Would like to have seen some through outdoor shots of the Lodge itself and the property around it.

Nice hunting lodge, most items left behind looks antique(ish) for sure. Not at all in bad shape although the black mold can be very concerning. But why leave all the furnishings is what I never understand. Get the right crew in there to replace the roof, clean the mold and sanitize, it could be a useful living quarter for someone seeking to buy. Perhaps turn it into a B&B.

Wow, what an amazing find, the condition of the property is incredible, almost like people still live there, and I love the fact is is tucked away enough to keep the mindless vandals away, great work!!!!
