Dating back to the 1800s, central Terrell County, Georgia was comprised of workers from the local timber mill who owned a majority of the gorgeous homes. According to local historians, this is the oldest home in Dawson. Originally constructed in the 1830s as a simple farmhouse, in 1896, the Harrison-Lark-Alley-Jones house was moved using logs to its current location and remodeled in a Queen Anne style. In 1997, the Dawson Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places and nearly encompasses the entire town of Dawson.
The dominant architectural style in this area of the district is the Queen Anne style. Hand-carved ornamental pendants featuring a floral motif surround the top of the front porch.Over the years, the house was renovated and additions were made like this tower that houses a staircase to the second floor.The Harrison-Lark-Alley-Jones House has four bedrooms and four fireplaces throughout, although most of them appear to be sealed off.Stained glass windows, transom windows, and custom woodwork can be seen throughout the home.With subjects ranging from photography to Hitler, the former owner left quite an array of old books behind.The property sold in the early 2000s for a mere $40,000 before it fell into foreclosure. For years, there was a note on the front door stating an Ohio bank owned the property and anyone willing to purchase the home should contact them.
After sitting abandoned for over a decade, the house sold at auction in 2019. Today, the property is no longer abandoned and is currently occupied.

Go to Zillow and do a search for Terrell County GA. There are not many houses for sale in the county so it should be easy to find.
